Algeria Offers Humanitarian Assistance to Ghat and Obari Municipalities.

    Algiers, 4 February 2016(Lana) Algeria has handed over a 
humanitarian assistance consisted of 18 tons of pharmaceutical and 
medical supplies to the health authorities in the Libyan 
municipalities of Ghat and Obari which face difficulties meeting the 
needs of local residents as a result of the ongoing crisis in Libya, 
a statement by the Algerian Foreign Minister said. The assistance was
delivered on Wednesday, the statement said.
    Algeria follows with great deal of concern the health situation 
in Libya and urges all parties to shoulder their responsibilities to 
carry on with the UN- brokered political solution to restore 
stability to the country, the statement said.
    Algeria, on the eve of the visit by the UN Special Envoy to 
Libya, reiterates its unshakable support to a national unity 
government in Tripoli that would be able to provide the needs of the 
Libyan people, the statement added.
