Researchers from the Benghazi Antiquities Inspectorate visit the settlement of Tansloukh.

Benghazi, February 7, 2025 (LANA) - A number of researchers from the Technical Affairs Department of the Benghazi Antiquities Inspectorate organized an inspection visit to the settlement of Tansloukh to assess the settlement's special needs in preparation for fencing work that would protect the site and regulate its use.

The Inspectorate stated that this visit, which comes within the ongoing efforts to preserve archaeological sites in the region, was attended by researchers Maher Al-Qaziri, Youssef Al-Ghuwail, Tamim bin Taher, and Aya Al-Ubaidi, to determine the archaeological sanctuary of the settlement, which enhances the importance of the site from a historical and cultural perspective.

The head of the Technical Affairs Department, Munim Al-Fitouri, explained in a statement to (WAL) that this visit is considered an essential step within the work plan submitted by the department to document and record the archaeological sites affiliated with the Inspectorate, with the aim of ensuring the preservation of archaeological landmarks and protecting them from potential risks.
