Benghazi Theater Arts Festival concludes.

Benghazi, September 21, 2024 (LANA) - The activities of the Benghazi Theater Arts Festival concluded on Friday evening, in its second session, the artist Rajab Al-Aqouri session, which lasted for seven consecutive days, as part of the activities of Benghazi, the Capital of Culture for the Islamic World.

At the conclusion of the festival, an artistic celebration was organized, attended by a number of artists and intellectuals from Libya and Arab countries.

During the celebration, the families of the late artists Mansour Fanoush and Abdullah Al-Masmari were honored in appreciation of their contributions to the theater, in addition to honoring the participating teams, as well as honoring the great artist Rafeh Najm, Director of the Popular Theater, along with the Minister of Culture and Arts, Saliha Al-Darouqi, for her great support for the festival. The presenters of the seminars and artistic workshops and the supporting bodies were also honored.

Dr. Seham Rajab Al-Aqouri, daughter of the late artist Rajab Al-Aqouri, gave a speech at the closing of the festival in which she expressed her thanks and gratitude to everyone who contributed to honoring her father, as the second session of the festival bore his name. It is worth noting that the session witnessed the participation of eight theater groups from Libya, Egypt and Tunisia, and a group of theater seminars and workshops were held.
