General Authority for Cinema organizes the Libya International Short Film Festival on October 1st.

Tripoli, September 21, 2024 (LANA) - The head of the General Authority for Cinema, Theater and Arts, "Abdul Basit Abu Qanda", announced the completion of preparations for the launch of the activities of the Libya International Short Film Festival on October 1, 2024.

He explained in a press conference held today, Saturday, at the Jamal-Deen al-Miladi Institute for Music and Theater, that the current session will be held in the name of the film director Muhammad Ali al-Farjani and will witness the participation of 21 countries with 216 films and will include cultural programs and activities and the issuance of a daily newspaper.

As part of the preparations, a number of committees were formed for the festival, which will be held under the honorary presidency of Professor Abdullah al-Zarouk and the management of the festival by Professor Mustafa al-Karmaji and a jury headed by director Abdullah al-Zarouk.
