Ankara, September 06, 2024 (LANA) - The US Special Envoy to Libya "Richard Norland" discussed in Ankara with the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister "Burhan-eddin Duran" support for the negotiations sponsored by the United Nations in Libya, most notably the crisis of the Central Bank of Libya.

Norland said "in a tweet published by the US Embassy on its account on the X platform (I appreciate the valuable consultations in Ankara with Deputy Foreign Minister Duran and Director General Ulgen on how the entire international community can cooperate to support the negotiations facilitated by the United Nations - not only to address the current crisis in Libya related to the Central Bank, but also to resolve the underlying political divisions in order to secure a stable and democratic future for the Libyan people).
