Abu Janah opens Al-Ajilat Hospital, which has been out of service for more than 16 years.

Ajilat, August 28, 2024 (LANA) - Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity - Minister of Health "Ramadan Abu Janah" inaugurated today, Wednesday, Ajilat General Hospital, which has been out of service for more than 16 years.

The opening ceremony was attended by a member of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives "Ayman Seif El-Nasr", Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Hospital Affairs "Saad El-Din Abdel-Wakil", the head and members of the Municipal Council, officials of health institutions in the municipality, and dignitaries, wise men and sheikhs of the Ajilat Municipality.

The Ministry of Health reported that the hospital underwent comprehensive maintenance work and was equipped according to the latest medical standards within the projects of the Ministry of Health in the Government of National Unity to improve primary health care services.

He explained that the hospital has been equipped with three (3) advanced digital operating rooms to enable direct transmission of surgeries anywhere in the world's hospitals via the international communication network, which contributes to making surgical decisions quickly, and the patient receiving appropriate treatment at the ideal time, as well as equipping the hospital departments with a bed capacity of 60 beds, distributed over the departments (Internal Medicine: 20, Surgery: 20, Obstetrics and Gynecology: 20).

The hospital's nursery department has also been equipped with the latest types of nurseries, artificial respirators, and devices for monitoring the vital functions of newborns, with a capacity of (6) nurseries, and the hospital's radiology department with an MRI device that operates according to the latest diagnostic technologies. The hospital has also been equipped with a medical analysis department and a laboratory according to the latest medical standards.

The ministry indicated that it has supplied the hospital with its needs of equipment, medical supplies, and daily consumables to provide medical care services to citizens.
