Tripoli, July 3, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Interior in charge of the National Unity Government, “Imad Trabelsi,” met yesterday, Tuesday, in the capital, Tripoli, with the Chargé d’Affaires of the American Embassy in Libya, “Jeremy Brent.”
The US Chargé d'Affaires said in a tweet published by the US Embassy on X that the Ministry of Interior will have a vital role in securing the upcoming municipal elections.
He said in the tweet: “We also discussed the reopening of the Ras Ijdir port and the importance of ensuring peace and stability throughout Libya.”
