High Judicial Institute hosts the first meeting of the international working group on the rule of law and justice reform in Libya.

Tripoli, 24 June 2024 (Lana) The High Judicial Institute hosted yesterday the first meeting of the international working group on the rule of law and justice reform in Libya.

The meeting aimed to coordinate and unify national and international efforts in the areas of rule of law and its enforcement, combating transitional organized crimes, and facing challenges and difficulties that face the rule of law and national security.

The meeting concluded with various results and recommendations, including continuing to hold such meetings in the future to increase cooperation and coordination between these parties.

The meeting, which was organized by the Rule of Law and Human Rights Department of the UNSMIL in partnership with the High Judicial Institute, included the following: the Minister of Justice, Halima Abdel Rahman; the Deputy Director General of the Institute, Al-Mukhtar Ashnan; the Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the High Council of State; a number of experts in the Rule of Law Department of the UNSMIL; and several national and international bodies.
