  Tripoli, May 16, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Culture and Cognitive Development, Mabrouka Toghi, today, Thursday, made an inspection tour of the Research, Information and Documentation Center, affiliated with the Ministry.

The Ministry's media office stated that the Director General of the Center, Khalifa Shanak, received the Minister and heard from him comprehensive explanations about the progress of work at the Center, the general plan that the Center is working to implement, and a discussion of the Libyan Cultural Memory Project.

The office explained that during the tour, Toghi reviewed the recent issues of the Media Research Journal, and expressed her admiration for them, which are considered among the important publications that serve research, studies, reports, and all media and cultural issues. She listened to an explanation about the modern methods of documentation and information carried out by the center. Emphasizing the need to benefit from all developments and modern technologies in the field of preserving and documenting information to preserve Libya’s cultural and media memory.

During the meeting, the Minister of Culture and Cognitive Development stressed the Ministry of Culture’s keenness to support the center according to the available capabilities, calling on everyone to support this pioneering center to carry out its cultural and scientific role.
