Tripoli, October 15, 2023 (Lana): The Minister of Oil, Mohamed Aoun, announced that oil production would rise to 2 million barrels per day before the end of the decade, after production stabilized at about 1.2 million barrels per day.
Aoun said in a press interview,"We will see the results of growth within 2-3 and approximately 5-7 years, when we reach the aim of 2 million barrels per day.”
“The investment will not be limited to existing fields but will also include the fields that have been discovered and have not yet been developed,” he added.
