Tripoli, 11 October 2023 (Lana): The UK reiterated its call for all Libyan actors to engage with UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily in a Libyan-led political process under UN auspices.
The UK Embassy in Libya said in a tweet, “The need for unified, democratically-elected governance to deliver Libya’s long-term stability, security, and prosperity is abundantly clear.”
The Embassy indicated that the UK has mobilized over £5 million to support Libya’s recovery, including £2 million to the UN urgent appeal, the deployment of UK emergency medical teams, and engineering support, within the framework of supporting the areas affected by the floods in the eastern region.
