Tripoli, May 22, 2025 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, met today, Thursday, at the Prime Minister's Office, with a delegation from Sorman to discuss the situation in the city and follow up on the government's efforts to enhance stability and enforce the rule of law.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation to the people and revolutionaries of Sorman, commending their efforts to maintain security. He stressed that the government will continue to closely monitor the situation in the city, ensuring the interests of citizens and enhancing stability in all areas, according to the Our Government platform.

For their part, the Sorman delegation, according to the platform, affirmed their full support for the government's efforts to establish security and enhance stability, noting that the city's revolutionaries were able to contain suspicious movements aimed at destabilizing the municipality.

The delegation members demanded that the Prime Minister replace the head of the Sorman Municipal Council, Abdelmajid Ben Tisha, accusing him of involvement in actions aimed at undermining government efforts and destabilizing the city, according to ''Hakomitna'' platform.
