Al-Bayda Security Director: What happened in Al-Wasita area has nothing to do with terrorist operations.

Al-Bayda, April 30, 2023 (LANA) – The Director of Al-Bayda Security, Major General "Khaled Al-Basta," confirmed that the explosion that occurred in Al-Wasita area this morning is purely a criminal matter and has nothing to do with terrorist operations, denying that there were any casualties as a result of the explosion.
Al-Basta said in a video published by the directorate's official page on its Facebook account that the explosion targeted a citizen's car, coming from the city of Tobruk on a family visit to his relatives in the Al-Wasita area.
The security director confirmed that the owner of the car is called "Abdul Mawla Al-Sadiq Al-Qatani," a well-known person who belongs to a well-known family in Al-Bayda and has no political or partisan problems.
He confirmed that an investigation committee was formed headed by the Assistant for Security Affairs in the Directorate, Brigadier General "Saeed Al-Ajili" and a number of officers to find out the circumstances of the bombing, indicating that the city of Al-Bayda is under the control of the security services and enjoys security and safety, like all cities in the eastern region.
Al-Basta explained that all military and police security services are present in the city and are on standby, to deter all attempts to destabilize security.
