Pulbished on:

Tripoli,23 February, 2022 (Lana) - The head of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri, attributed the reason for adjourning the voting session on the last constitutional amendment to the power outage and information about the movement of a military force near the venue of the session.

Al-Mashri said in a press statement tonight, "The electricity was cut off in the entire area where the headquarters of the Islamic Call is located, where today's session was held, and all members went out through the back door for their own safety after hearing gunfire."

He explained that the session will be completed tomorrow morning, Thursday, noting that the decisions of the Council are taken in the hall with full transparency.

Al-Mashri reiterated his assertion that unless there is a consensual government that is approved by the High Council of State, it cannot carry out its work from the capital, Tripoli. Pointing out that the Prime Minister-designate of the House of Representatives, Fatehi Bashagha, was informed that the project of militarizing the state has no room in the western region and that the defense of the February Revolution is still continuing.
