The Libyan Relief Authority in Benghazi is discussing cooperation with the United Nations mission in Libya.

Benghazi, February 8, 2022 (LANA) - The Libyan Authority for Relief and Humanitarian Aid held today, Tuesday, a meeting with the delegation of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nations Mission in Libya, represented by (the Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Libya, Justin Brady). Director of the Field Coordination Unit, Edmore Tondelna, in the context of coordinating humanitarian efforts in Libya.

The meeting, which was held at the authority’s headquarters in Benghazi, in the presence of the head of the authority’s management committee, “Saad Al-Abbar”, the director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, “Saliha Al-Zawawi” and the director of the Operations and Programs Department, “Marwan Al-Hassi,” dealt with coordinating humanitarian efforts to continue providing assistance to displaced families and illegal immigrants detained in illegal immigration centers. .

The Director of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nations Mission commended the prominent role played by the Libyan Relief Authority as the largest specialized governmental institution capable of working in various parts of the country through its branches and offices in various regions and municipalities. The coordination of humanitarian affairs in providing the necessary support to alleviate the suffering of the displaced from their cities, calling for the continuation of coordinating programs through the various UN organizations of the United Nations, both according to their specialization and tasks.
