Hamoda Siala discusses with the Italian ambassador to grant confidence to the national unity government.

Tripoli, February 23, 2021 (LANA) - Chairman of the Libyan Parliament, Hamoda Ahmed Siala, discussed with the Italian ambassador to Tripoli Giuseppe Buccino the political developments in Libya.

During a meeting held today at the Parliament headquarters in Tripoli, the two parties discussed the role of the House of Representatives during this stage in dealing with the outcomes of the Libyan Dialogue Forum and the possibility of convening the House of Representatives, and holding a session to discuss granting confidence to the government of national unity, according to the Media Office of the House of Representatives.

For his part, Siala welcomed any initiative by which the parliament would convene, and hold a session to discuss granting confidence to the national unity government, although the challenges to this historic entitlement still exist.

Siala stressed the necessity for the council to undertake this task, leave differences aside, and for the country's interest to be the priority of all.
