The Military Committee agrees to open coastal road and withdraw foreign fighters.

Sirt, 12 November, 2020 (Lana) The Joint Military Committee (5+5)
agreed at the end of its meetings at its permanent headquarters in
Sirt on Thursday to open the coastal road and remove mercenaries and
foreign fighters from the lines of contact.
Salim Raad, head of the security reform sector at the UN mission in
Libya, said at a press conference in the presence of the committee
members that the military Committee had set two phases to implement
its agreements, including opening the coastal road and securing the
movement of civilians, and the second to remove all mercenaries and
foreign fighters and assemble them in Tripoli and Benghazi in
preparation for their departure from Libyan territory.
The United Nations official explained that the Joint Military
Committee had tasked the Subcommittee with evacuating mercenaries and
foreign fighters from the lines of contact, withdrawing vehicles and
heavy weapons from the target area, opening the coastal road, and
returning troops stationed on the road to its units in coordination
with the Security Arrangements Committee after it had been evacuated
from mercenaries and foreign fighters.
The head of the SECURITY REFORM SECTOR of the UNSMIL revealed that
the second phase will begin immediately after the implementation of
the first phase, which includes the departure of foreign fighters and
their departure from Libyan territory, and the adoption of security
arrangements provided by the subcommittee on the entire area of
contact to open the coastal road and facilitate the movement of
civilians.
