Meeting of the National Committee for Migration Policies and Strategies in the House of Representatives.

Tripoli, November 6, 2020 (Lana) - The National Committee for Drafting Immigration Policies and Strategies in the House of Representatives held its regular meeting on Thursday in Tripoli, headed by Counselor "Mohamed Hammouda" in his capacity as the committee's designated head, and in the presence of all the committee members. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Coastal Security Agency at the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General "Abdullah Toumieh", and Brigadier "Muhammad Al-Nuwaisri," Director of the General Administration of Coastal Security at the Interior Ministry. The meeting dealt with the issue of overlapping specializations assigned to them in the field of assistance, search and maritime rescue of migrants. The meeting concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which is the consolidation of visions about the tasks of each of the parties concerned with search and rescue. It was also agreed to form a joint team to work and discuss the distribution of tasks and specializations for each of them, and to inform the committee of the results. =Lana=
