Libyan-Italian Committee Assigned to Modify 'MOU' on Illegal Migration Discloses New Agreements.

Tripoli, 3 November 2020(Lana) The Libyan Italian Committee assigned to modify a memorandum of understanding in the area of illegal migration, trafficking, fuel smuggling and border security which was set up by virtue of Presidency Council Decision No. 496 of 2020 held a meeting on Monday to discuss the draft memo presented by the Libyan side and the alterations and notes therein. The GNA Interior Ministry said on its SMS page that a mini-committee from both sides was to be set up to fulfil the demands of the two sides with full respect of the sovereignty of the two countries, to address the illegal migration phenomenon. The Ministry said the meeting was held at the headquarters of the Anti-Migration Body in Tripoli and attended by the Head of the Body Brigadier General Al Mabrouk Abdul Hafidh and the Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Garimaldi and other senior anti illegal migration officials. =Lana=
