GNA Minister of Finance: Wide Gab in Public Servants Salaries Needs to be Addressed.

Tripoli, 4 October 2020(Lana) GNA Minister of Finance Farj Bumtari said the banking sector is in a state of complete paralysis, does not offer loans or facilities to the private sector, indicating that the Central Bank is advocating ending subsidy before it activate its role in the control of foreign currency. 'There is a wide gab in salaries between the lowest and the highest paid employees by 40 folds, Bumtari said, adding that teams were working on addressing this issue and coming up with a fair salary table. Bumtari said 60% of the economic activity in Libya is a shadow activity which means it works outside the economic network, indicating that his ministry would go ahead with approving the additional budget and allocating funds for release of salaries. =Lana=
