The Libyan Dialogue Delegations Participating in the Dialogue Sessions in Morocco Issue a Joint Press Briefing.

Rabat, September 07, 2020 (LANA) - The delegations of the Libyan 
Dialogue, who participated in the dialogue sessions held in the 
Kingdom of Morocco, from representatives of the Supreme Council of 
State and the Libyan House of Representatives, issued a joint press 
briefing on the course of the opening session, in which the two 
parties expressed their thanks to Rabat and their appreciation for 
the role of friendly countries and the UN mission in its endeavors to
achieve stability in Libya.
    
"While we sincerely thank the Kingdom of Morocco, the king, the 
people, the parliament and the government, for the warm reception and
hospitality, we value its sincere endeavor and keenness to provide an
appropriate fraternal atmosphere that helps find a solution to the 
Libyan crisis, with the aim of reaching a consensus that achieves 
political and economic stability that would alleviate the suffering 
of the Libyan people and move towards building a stable state.
    
The interlocutors indicated that an opening session was held under 
the auspices of the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita, during
which he delivered a speech in which he expressed "the keenness and 
desire of the Kingdom of Morocco to help the Libyans to reach a 
consensus that serves the interest of Libyans. The two delegations 
also expressed their thanks to the role of the Kingdom of Morocco in 
embracing the Libyan political dialogue.
    
The two sides concluded the briefing by saying: "In addition to their
sincere desire to achieve a consensus that would bring Libya to a 
safe haven to end the suffering of the Libyan citizen, everyone 
appreciated the role of brotherly and friendly countries and the 
United Nations support mission in Libya and their efforts to achieve 
stability in the country".
