Tripoli 28 July 2020 (Lana) GNA Minister of Interior discussed with
the US deputy ambassador to Libya cooperation against terrorism.
The meeting held Monday in Misrata focused on joint cooperation in
several security fields including the fight against terrorism and to
enhance joint cooperation and friendship between the two countries in
many security fields including the fight against terrorism.
The two sides also discussed cooperation in training to enhance
security personnel capacities by organizing high level security
training for personnel of security agencies.
On the sideline of the meeting, they touched on the fight against
terrorism, corruption and realizing transparency; essential for
modern state.
They also discussed the work to establish political and economic
stability and support of GNA efforts for a political settlement.
They also discussed securing oil fields and they touched on the
presence of foreign mercenaries on oil fields ports without the
consent of the internationally recognized GNA government. They also
discussed shutting down of oil fields, and the presence of Vagnar on
Libyan oil fields,
