Beijing, July 25, 2020 (Lana) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi
stressed that the foreign terrorist movement across the Libyan border
should be prevented, so that Libya does not become a hotbed of
terrorism again, he said.
"Wang" called during a telephone conversation with his Egyptian
counterpart "Sameh Shoukry", the two parties to the conflict in
Libya, for a ceasefire immediately and to advance the three-track
negotiations on politics, economy and the army in parallel.
Wang said the parties concerned should support the United Nations as
the main channel for mediation and make regional organizations such
as the ArabLeague and the African Union play their unique roles
better at the same time.
"Wang" said China is willing to maintain close communication and
coordination with all parties concerned and play a constructive role
in pushing the ceasefire and resuming peace talks.
