The sustainable development goals in Libya at the United Nations high-level political forum.

Tripoli, July 21, 2020 (LANA) - Libya submitted its first voluntary
national review report for Libya in 2020 on the Sustainable
Development Goals 2030 to the high-level political forum at the
United Nations in the presence of Minister of Planning, Commissioner
Dr. Al-Taher Al-Jahimi.
The voluntary report for development in Libya of the sectors
of : education, health, energy, water and sanitation, etc was
presented by the Chairman of the Commission on Sustainable
Development at the Ministry of Planning, Director General of the
Planning Institute Dr. "Al-Taher Abu Al-Hassan".
On the sidelines of the political forum, Minister of Planning
"Taher Al-Jahimi" participated in a seminar (Africa Day) with the
participation of a number of planning ministers of African countries.
In his intervention, "Al-Jahimi" focused on the importance of using
digital technology in communication and distance learning in light of
the Corona pandemic and its effects on all aspects of life.
In his intervention, he reviewed the sustainable development
program in Libya and the integration of the 2030 sustainable
development goals with the sustainable development goals for Africa
2063 and their alignment with national plans and strategies.
Dr. Al-Taher Abu Al-Hassan, Chairman of the Commission for
Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Planning also participated
on the sidelines of the high-level political forum in the session on
innovative approaches to stimulate action and achievement (lessons
from the regions).
He held an intervention on national reviews on behalf of the Arab
countries, along side other speakers from Europe, America, Asia and
Africa.
