Paris, July 18, 2020 (Lana) - France on Friday called on its partners
in the European Union and the United States to intensify efforts to
put an end to the repeated violations of the arms embargo to Libya.
The official spokesperson for the French Foreign Ministry, "Anis von
Deir Mole" in her statement said, that the European mission in the
Mediterranean contributes effectively to ensuring the implementation
of the arms embargo and illegal oil exports imposed by the United
Nations Security Council in line with the outputs of the Berlin
Conference.
"Deir Mole" pointed out that the European mission is being monitored
neutrally, regardless of the beneficiaries of all illegal operations,
and this was shown through the actions it has undertaken, noting that
France has an active role in the European mission in the
Mediterranean, in which the situation has increased, especially with
the foreign interventions, which France condemned in the strongest
terms.
