The Kremlin: telephone talks between the Russian President and his Congolese counterpart on the implications of the Libyan crisis.

Moscow, July 07, 2020 (WAL) - Russian President Vladimir Putin held
a phone conversation with the President of the Republic of the Congo,
Dennis Sassou Nguesso, on the Libyan crisis and its implications on
the African continent.
A Kremlin statement stated that the contact came - at the
initiative of the Congolese side, which chairs the African Union's
High-level Committee on Libya.
In the statement, the Kremlin said that the two presidents exchanged
views on the situation in Libya, and it was stressed the need to find
a peaceful solution to the conflict through political dialogue with
the participation of all Libyan parties. It was also agreed to
continue contacts between the two sides.
The statement stated that the talks also included discussion of the
substantive issues of bilateral cooperation in the context of
implementing the agreements reached during the Russian-Congolese
summit talks in Moscow in May 2019.
