Algeria, 13.06.2020 - Lana - Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun
renewed that the Libyan crisis cannot be resolved militarily,
expressing regret for the continued armed conflict in Libya.
The Algerian President said in an interview with a number of
journalists in Algeria yesterday, Friday, "Algeria stands at the same
distance from all the Libyan parties. The solution in this country
will not be militarily. I tell everyone, stop fighting and bloodshed
because in the end you will return to negotiations, so why not
shorten the time and start through dialogue, because the blood that
is flowing is Libyan blood and not the blood of the parties fighting
the proxy war. "
President Taboun stressed the need to return to the negotiating
table to resolve the Libyan crisis, stressing that his country has no
ambitions in Libya, which is currently transforming into the Syrian
model, according to him.
The Algerian president criticized for continuing to supply the Libyan
parties with weapons after the Berlin conference, adding, "In Berlin
our understanding was on the basis of no mercenaries and no weapons,
and after one month 3400 tons of weapons reached Libya."
