The US ambassador to Libya discusses with the Electoral Commission the tasks of the next stage.

Tripoli, 11.06.2020 - Lana - The American ambassador to Libya,
"Richard Norland", agreed with the head of the High National
Elections Commission, "Imad Al-Sayeh," that the commission must be
ready to perform its duties during the next stage, in conjunction
with the increasing prospects for a ceasefire and a return to
political dialogue.
The Chairperson of the Commission briefed the US ambassador on the
role of the Electoral Commission as an independent institution in
preparing for peaceful elections, while "Norland" stressed the need
to support it to the level required by its mandates.
The US embassy confirmed that the United States is determined to
continue its partnership with the Electoral Commission so that all
Libyans can register to vote and participate fully in electing future
Libyan leaders.
