UN spokesman: UN mission in Libya continues consultations with parties in Libya to stop fighting.

New York, 11.06.2020 - Lana - UN spokesman Stephan Dujarric said the
organization was ready to assist in an investigation into the
discovery of bodies at Tarhuna City Hospital.
Dujarric said in a press statement that the bodies reveal the price
paid by civilians and the urgent need for a ceasefire. Noting that
the Acting Head of the UN Mission in Libya, "Stephanie Williams," is
conducting intensive consultations with the parties of the crisis in
Libya to stop the fighting.
He added that the United Nations welcomes any regional call for
stopping the fighting and calls for the silence of arms to resume
political talks, indicating that the political solution to the
long-standing Libyan crisis is still within reach, and that the
United Nations Mission is ready to conduct a political process that
includes everyone led by Libyans take control.
"Dujarric" explained that the recent calls by Libyan leaders to
resume such talks to end the fighting and division, which will pave
the way for a comprehensive political solution, based on the
political agreement, and within the results of the Berlin Conference,
Security Council Resolution 2510, and other relevant resolutions.
