Presidency Council Issues Decision to Set up Multisectoral Committee to Combat CoronaVirus.

Tripoli, 18 March 2020(Lana) The GNA Presidency Council has issued a decision to set up a multisectoral committee with the task of coordinating emergency measures to combat CoronaVirus. According to Article 1 of the decision the committee is led by GNA Minister of Health, with Undersecretaries of Ministries of Education, Interior, Justice, Transport, Finance, Local Government, Economy, Industry as members. The Committee also involves the Director of National Disease Control Centre, the Executive Director of Civil Society Organisations, the Head of General Union of Students, and representatives of the National Security Body, Libyan Telecommunications Holding Company, and the Health Ministry Emergency Department. The second Article stipulates that the committee will be assigned to take precautionary and exceptional measures to fight the CoronaVirus pandemic, including employing all resources available, in collaboration with relevant bodies. =Lana=
