Siala: Illegal Migration Opens Way to Emergence of Terror Groups.

Marrakesh, 4 March 2020(Lana) GNA Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala said 'Libya has for years demanded that source regions of illegal migrants be developed to curb the flow of migrants.' Siala was speaking at the 8th Ministerial Conference of so called 5+5 held in Marrakesh on migration and development. 'Libya had invested billions in such project which several other countries did not agree to, some are attending this conference, he said. He said Libya was doing what it could to curb the flow of migrants to Europe, which was reflected in the last report on migration in 2019, which showed that the ratio of migrants had heavily dropped. 'Previous experiences have shown how fragile individual and isolated policies were, as far as illegal migration is concerned, Siala said, urging all members to work collectively for radical solutions. He warned against this grave phenomenon which opens the way for traffickers, arms smugglers and terrorist groups. =Lana=
