Trade Exchange Between Libya and Egypt Declines in 2019.

Cairo, 29 December 2019(Lana) Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian
Chamber of Commerce Imad Naser has said that trade exchange between
Libya and Egypt has declined in 2019 to $455 million from $1.37
billion in 2013.
Libyan investments in Egypt were down by 25%, and Libyan
companies operating in the Egyptian market numbered 511 with assets
worth 4 $billion, Naser said, indicating that Egyptian investments in
Libya were half a billion dollars.
Egypt has launched, in the last months, 10 logistical regions in
the area of Al Saloum close to the Libyan border on the
Mediterranean, to promote Egyptian exports to Libya, in anticipation
of the reconstruction costs, estimated by the World Bank at $200
billion.
Meanwhile, recent data released by Egyptian Building Material
Council of Exports showed that 52% of Egyptian cement exports between
January and August this worth $54 million, 931,700,000 million
Egyptian pounds were made to Libya.
