UN Population Fund Organizes Campaign to Fight Violence Against Women.

Tripoli, 26 November 2019(Lana) UN Population Fund in Libya has announced that it would work with local partners in Libya to raise awareness regarding issues of gender-based violence against women under the theme 'violence is not a solution.' UNPF said in a statement, on the international day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women which falls on Nov 25, that it was organizing a 16 day campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Boy Scout Movement and local partners to raise awareness in the society about gender-based violence against the most vulnerable group women and girls. The Fund said it would cooperate with the Libyan Government to set multiple activities and media and SMS campaigns as well as competitions under the national campaign theme 'violence is not a solution.' =Lana=
