Africom: We Will Continue to Monitor Situation in Libya.

Washington, 25 November 2019(Lana) A spokesman for the American Military Command in Africa Col. Carnes Christopher has said they will continue to monitor security situation in Libya, and they were committed to prevent any re-emergence of terrorist groups. In statements carried by Al Sharg Al Awsat newspaper, Christopher said everybody is aware of the monitoring activity being conducted by Africom in support of anti-terror operations and efforts to enhance peace in Libya. The US official declined to locate the site of the announced crash of an Africom drone over Tripoli two days ago, saying investigations were underway. Africom has announced that it lost a non-armed drone over Tripoli while on a mission to assess the security situation and monitor violent extremist activities. =Lana=
