The Arab League: Huge complexities of the Libyan scene are currently underway.

Cairo, 23.11.2019 - Lana - Assistant Secretary-General of the
Arab League, Ambassador 'Hossam Zaki', considered that there are huge
complications in the Libyan scene at present, noting that despite the
presence of external concerns and interventions, this does not mean
that the Libyans are exempted from their responsibilities.
In a statement to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper on Thursday, Zaki
called on everyone to assume his role. There can be no intervention
without the consent of some Libyan parties. .
He pointed out that the Berlin process was initiated by the
international envoy 'Ghassan Salama' and German Chancellor 'Angela
Merkel', who contacted the leaders of several regional and
international countries and organizations and invited them to
nominate their representatives in this process.
Zaki stressed, that work is underway to come up with consensus
positions that allow the international community to speak with one
voice regarding the crisis in Libya.
He also pointed out that the German initiative deals with the current
reality, which has become in a very delicate situation, especially
after the military confrontations, weapons and the critical economic
and financial situation to the restoration of the state, knowing that
the Skhirat agreement is also available to contribute to this goal.
