UNHCR: More Than 300000 Libyans Displaced Internally by Armed Clashes.

Tripoli, 11 November 2019(Lana) The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees has said that more than 300000 Libyans are
internally displaced, while 440000 have returned to their homes over
the last years.
The UN Commission disclosed that more than 44000 illegal migrants
and asylum seekers are registered with it in Libya, and more than
44000 are in detention camps belonging to the Commission.
The Commission said 9892 migrants have arrived in Italy, most of
them on migration boats, and more than 5000 were evacuated from Libya
since November 2017, of which 760 have been re-settled in countries
other than their original countries.
The Commission was able, in collaboration with the International
Medical Authority and Chezvy Organisation to release 1689 migrants
this year of whom 116 from the detention centre of Tariq Al Sekkah in
Tripoli, it said.
