Kremlin: Putin and Merkel Agree on Avoiding Armed Struggle in Libyan Conflict.

Moscow, 21 October 2019(Lana) Russian President Vladimir Putin
has reaffirmed, in a telephone contact with German Chancellor Angela
Merkel, that Moscow would support any effort aimed at reaching a
peaceful solution to the conflict in Libya.
Putin indicated, in remakes published by the Kremlin on Sunday,
that Russia and Germany were prepared to assist Libya reduce tension
and avoid armed conflict.
The Kremlin added that Putin and Merkel have agreed to help
easing tension and facilitate the UN mediation effort, to end the
conflict peacefully.
Putin has called for a halt to military confrontations in Libya
as soon as possible, and resumption of talks to end division and
reunite state institutions.
