UNICEF: Millions of Children Suffer Because of Conflict in Yemen, Syria and Libya.
Pulbished on:
Tripoli, 21 October 2019(Lana) The UN children organisation
UNICEF has said that 16 million children under 5 were suffering
malnutrition in the Middle East and North Africa, particularly
because of conflicts in Libya, Syria, Yemen and Sudan.
The organisation denounced the 'appalling affect of conflicts on
children in these four countries, indicating that despite
improvements, children nourishment in the Middle East and North
Africa since 2000 was worsening or heading to stagnation.
It added that children were suffering different forms of
malnutrition due to conflicts in Syria, Yemen, Libya and Sudan,
indicating that more than 16 million under age of 5 had no access to
nourishing food.
