Libyan sites listed within the World Islamic Heritage List.

Tripoli, 2 July 2019 (Lana) The Islamic World Heritage Committee
agreed at its 8th meeting held by ISESCO in Rabat to enlist Islamic
Arts and Industry School in Tripoli as one of the heritage sites
listed within the World Islamic Heritage List.
The Committee agreed to list four Libyan sites on its provisional
heritage list awaiting final listing. The sites are; Murad Agha
Mosque in Tajoura, Qasr Al haj in Nufusa Mountain, Awjla Mosque, and
wadi Anamous (natural scenery.(
The committee asked member states in ISESCO to take stock of
material and non-material heritage and promote sensitization
activities among students and youth in general to introduce cultural
heritage and ways to invest it in sustainable development.
