Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Illegal Migration Affairs Meets Spanish Ambassador.

Tripoli, 19 December 2019(Lana) The Interior Ministry
Undersecretary for Illegal Migration Affairs Mohamed Al Sheibani
said that 'Libya is a transit country and not a destination one.'
This came at a meeting the Undersecretary had with the Spanish
Ambassador held at the Ministry's headquarters here.
Cooperation between the Interior Ministries in the two countries
especially regarding illegal migration and the difficulties in
tackling this phenomenon were discussed at the meeting.
Libya has set up so called Sahara Patrol Administration to be
affiliated with the Anti-illegal Migration Body, with the task of
combating migration from the southern desert region to the north of
the country, Al Sheibani told the Spanish Ambassador.
