Presidency Council Spokesman reviews PC activities locally and internationally.

Tripoli, 8 November 2018 (Lana) GNA Presidency Council spokesman,
Mohamed Al salak reviewed in his press conference Thursday local and
international activities of the Presidency Council and PC stance in
respect of issues and developments in the country.
At local level, Al salak underlined preparedness of the
government delegation assigned by President of PC to head to the
south of the country, and that there are a series of meetings with
service institutions, dignitaries as well as military and security
institutions to put a comprehensive plan to address the situation in
southern Libya from security and service wise.
On Sabratha developments, he said the President issued
instructions to commander of Western Zone to confront any attempt
designed to undermine security there.
At external level, and Palermo conference Al salak conveyed
emphasis of President of Presidency Council that the participation
in Palermo conference is in line with local and international efforts
to reach a comprehensive solution to end Libyan crisis. He pointed
out that the President looked forward to the participation of all
parties. He also thanked Italy and the entire international
community for the constructive efforts to advance the political
process, calling for convening the next meeting in Libya.
On Security Council session on Libya President of PC welcomed UN
Security Council Resolution on November 5 which reiterated commitment
to Libyan sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and
national unity. The resolution also expressed preparedness to review
the arms embargo when needed and urged member states to offer
assistance to GNA upon its request by supplying it with all
assistance in security and capacity building to confront threats
facing Libya and foremost extremist organizations and all groups
linked them.
