Tripoli, 12 July 2018 (Lana) Spokesman for the President of
Presidency Council, Mohamed Al salak underlined during his weekly
press briefing to the media Wednesday that sending a letter to the
UN Security Council to set up an international investigation
committee was to follow up state revenues and expenditure and ways of
distribution of oil revenues so all can see the facts and reality. He
said such work should be carried out by Specialized international
institutions under UN supervision.
Al Salak said the move was due to political divisions and lack of
trust among various political bodies, this requires an independent
body to rule in the issue.
He said Al sarrj looks forward that such step would be the first
one towards unifying sovereign state institutions. On return of oil
ports to function, he said they resumed work under NOC. The spokesman
said Al Sarraj hopes that losses incurred by closure of oil ports
during the past weeks are taken into consideration so the economic
reforms are activated.
