President of Presidency Council asks UN Security Council to set up international committee to audit all revenues and expenditure.

Tripoli, 11 July 2018 (Lana) President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al Sarraj asked the UN Security Council to set up an international technical Committee under UN oversight using specialized international financial and economic organizations to audit all revenues and expenditure and transactions of Libya Central Bank in Tripoli and Baida urgently to realize the principle of fairness, transparency and to address a very critical situation. Presidency Council media office said the request of the President is conduce to the public good and clarifies the financial position to all and what is being spent during the last period by any institutions without exceptions. Al Sarraj underlined that such step would contribute to the unification of financial and economic institutions in the state on sound bases and strengthens confidence in the performance of these institutions and would improve state economics and support stability. =Lana=
