Saila discusses with Netherland Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation bilateral cooperation and re-enforcing concluded agreements between both countries.

Tripoli, 28 march 2018 (Lana) GNA Foreign Minister, Mohamed Saila
met at the ministry in Tripoli, with the Netherland Minister of
Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Sigrid Kaag.
Saila said he held with the Netherland minister an in-depth and
fruitful talks, during which they dwelt on several political,
economic, and bilateral cooperation issues between Libya and the
Netherland .
At a press conference following the meeting, the minister said
they discussed the political accord sponsored by the UN and efforts
of the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salama as well as the issue of
illegal migration which is a pressing issue for Libya and troublesome
for both Libya and Europe, saying their view points are close.
At the bilateral level, the minister said, they discussed
bilateral relations, and agreed to lay down a road map to activate
bilateral agreements, and that experts from both sides will meet to
review the agreements and bilateral cooperation concluded by both
countries.
Saila praised Netherland's contribution to development of
cooperation in oil, gas, agriculture and industry, underscoring that
the two countries can resume such cooperation in these fields and
others, as well as Netherland 's contribution to reconstruction and
development in all fields.
The minister revealed that they agreed to launch meetings
between the two countries at experts level soon.
The Netherland minister, Sigrid Kaag for her part expressed
delight to visit Libya for the first time, stressing that her meeting
with the foreign minister was fruitful and focused during which they
addressed all bilateral aspects and issues of common interest.
In a press statement Kaag said; she discussed with the Libyan
foreign minister several issues including the Libyan political
accord, reiterating Netherland's support to the accord and its
outcome and efforts made by the special envoy of the UN Secretary
General, Ghassan Salama.
The Dutch minister stressed that the Netherland plays an
important role in everything that relates to cooperation with Libya
and that her country can be relied upon on several essential issues.
On fighting illegal migration and bilateral cooperation, the
minister praised the efforts made by the Libyan government and its
various institutions and services offered to the migrants at
detention centres until their retune to their countries of origin.
The minister underscored that Netherland would continue to
cooperate with the Libyan government and International Organization
for Migration to adderss the underlying causes of migration to ensure
an effective management of the issue.
On bilateral relations and reviving the Libyan-Netherland Joint
Committee, the minister underlined that experts from both countries
will discuss all bilateral agreements and the prospect of their
operationalization conducive to the common interest of the two
countries.
