MoI stresses resolve of ministry to address fuel crisis in Southern Libya.

Ashure met with Chairman of fuel distribution at Al bariq Oil Company
within efforts to secure fuel supplies to the south.
The meeting focused on difficulties encountering Al bariqa
Company in its supplies to western and southern regions.
The minister stressed that the ministry will firmly curb
smuggling operations starting from fuel stations and gas distributors
and all those who hamper the transport of fuel and trading fuel in
the black market.
Chairman of fuel distribution at Al bariq Oil Company said no
fuel was distributed at the south for three months and that the
National Oil Corporation and Al bariqa Company put plans in place to
curtail fuel smuggling.
At the end of the meeting, the minister assigned security
directorates to protect fuel tankers, Central security to fight
smuggling in western and southern areas, and pledged to Al bariqa
company to protect its tankers in their mission to distribute fuel.
Chairman of fuel distribution at Al bariq Oil Company confirmed
that fuel would be supplied to the southern region within 48 hours.
