NOC Thanks Special Deterrent Force for Apprehension of Notorious Fuel Smuggler.

Tripoli, 27 August 2017(Lana) The National Oil Company has extended its thanks to the Special Deterrent Force, which was able to apprehend the so called 'Fahmi Salim Bin Khalifa', described as the biggest fuel smuggler in Libya, under an arrest warrant issued by the Prosecutor Office. The NOC noted that it had supplied documents to the Prosecutor Office about fuel smugglers, and had done what it could to expose them to the media. It said it had also furnished the UN Security Council expert panel with information and documents about the activities of smugglers as well as a list of names, and the plate number of the trucks they used in their illegal activities in anticipation of an international arrest warrant against them. The NOC called on all national bodies to coordinate their efforts to combat crime, upgrade border control mechanisms and trace down smugglers internally and externally. =Lana=
