African Union high level committee urges all parties to reach consensus to end the crisis.

Brazzaville, 29.01.2017(Lana) The high level committee on Libya, comprising head of states of the African Union, and neighbouring countriesو has urged at the end of its meeting in Congo Brazzaville all parties in Libya to reach consensus to end the crisis. The committee renewed in its statement full support to the presidency council and high state council, the outcome of the political accord signed in Sukhirat. The statement underlined that there would be no military solution to the crisis in Libya and the political solution is the sole guarantor for sustainable peace in Libya. The statement expressed appreciation of the efforts made by the African Union, the Arab League, the UN to address the Libyan crisis. It urged coordination with neighboring countries to consolidate comprehensive peace settlement opportunities in Libya. =Lana=
