Tripoli, 05.12.2017(Lana) World Health Organization has revealed
that the health situation in Libya has become extremely critical due
to the lack of medical supplies and finance.
Spokesman for WHO office in Libya, Ahmed Salem said the latest
figures of Libya health utilities during an all out survey of
hospitals showed that among 95 hospitals, only 4 work with a
capacity ranging between 75 and 85% and that 45% of these hospitals
were closed, explaining that such perils threaten the health sector
in Libya with collapse.
Salem warned of the scarcity of resources for the Libyan health
system, pointing out the acute shortages and limited resources of WHO
which are threatening the Libyan health system with collapse, if the
situation is not addressed very soon, he added.
