Addressing the conference Mi'tig said 'we call on everybody to work with the Presidency Guard to secure the state structures and the political track, noting that the Guard would not be an alternative to the national army and it should be activated promptly.' On his part the Commander of the Presidency Guard Najmi Al Nakou said the formation steps of the Presidency Guard, its structures and mission were being studied in an advanced fahion. The Presidency Guard is a body that's affiliated with the Army General Staff and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces in accordance with Presidency Council decision No.2 of 2016, Al Nakou said. He said the proposed guard would be consisted of recruits from all over the country. He also said those from the armed groups are also welcomed to join the force. =Lana=
