Tripoli, 02.08.2016(Lana) High Council of State praised the brave stance by Presidency Council on request of international air support to finish off Serte battle. It said the presidency Council acted in its capacity as the supreme commander of the armed forces according to the political accord. It said the request especially from the USA would help Fortified Structure forces to decisively finish off the job in Serte which entered its final stages. In a statement, the HSC praised the clear stance of the Presidency Council rejecting any foreign intervention without approval of the legitimate authority. It also called for immediate ceasefire in Benghazi and lift the siege of Derna and kick off broad dialogue To address outstanding issues. Kobler : mayors play pivotal role in securing homeland. Tunis, 02.08.2016(Lana) The UN envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler underscored the important role by mayors in providing protection to the public describing such role as pivotal. On tweet, following his meeting with mayor of Sabratha in Tunis, Kobler said the meeting was outstanding. He said he was stunned by the stories narrated about bodies of illegal immigrants washed off by sea.
